An Extreme Coincidence

Birthday boys – On Feb. 21, 1934, a birthday party was held at the Presbyterian manse to celebrate the statistically unlikely fact that all three Frenchtown pastors – Methodist Merritt Webb, Baptist Wilson G. Wismer and Presbyterian Harvey L. Jennings – would share a birthday the next day.

What are the odds of any three people sharing a birthday?

One in 133,407, according to a panel of Delaware Valley Regional High School math teachers. (That's assuming that the chances of being born on any given day are the same – except for Feb. 29, of course.)
